Financial Instruments Transactions Other Than Investment Trusts and Financial Instruments Intermediary Services (SBI Securities Co., Ltd. or Monex, Inc.)
- Securities are not bank deposits.
- Securities are not covered by deposit insurance. The securities sold through financial instruments intermediary services will be purchased through comprehensive securities accounts at SBI Securities Co., Ltd. or Monex, Inc., (SBI Securities Co., Ltd. and Monex, Inc. may collectively be referred to as “Entrusted Financial Instruments Transaction Operators,” or either of the two companies may be referred to as the “Entrusted Financial Instruments Transaction Operator” depending on the context of this document hereinafter), meaning that the securities are covered by the Investor Protection Funds. (Monex, Inc. calls Comprehensive Securities Accounts “Comprehensive Securities Transaction Accounts,” however, this document calls all accounts of Entrusted Financial Instruments Transaction Operators “Comprehensive Securities Accounts.”)
- Neither principal nor yield is guaranteed in securities transactions. The principal amount invested may therefore fall below its original value due to price fluctuation risk caused by the stock market related to the securities or underlying assets, interest rate levels, exchange rate fluctuations, changes in the issuer’s credit standing and changes in the political and economic situation inside and outside Japan.
- Risks, including a decrease in the value of assets invested, are attributable to the customer who purchased the securities.
- Securities are subject to credit risk of the issuer, etc.
- Securities with low liquidity may face price fluctuations or may not be traded.
- Foreign currency-denominated securities are subject to foreign exchange risk.
