What is Smartphone Authentication (FIDO)?
Smartphone Authentication (FIDO) is a free service that helps protect transactions such as fund transfers. When you initiate a fund transfer on a PC or smartphone, a push notification is sent to the SBI Shinsei Bank app where Smartphone Authentication (FIDO) is registered. The transaction is completed after you approve the notification, helping prevent unauthorized transactions.
Note: New registrations for Smartphone Authentication (VIP Access) are no longer available following the introduction of Smartphone Authentication (FIDO). VIP Access will be discontinued in stages, so please switch to Smartphone Authentication (FIDO).
The Smartphone Authentication app is available in Japanese only.
Registration of Smartphone Authentication (FIDO)
To use Smartphone Authentication, advance registration is required.
Please refer to the information below for registration of Smartphone Authentication. (Only 1 smartphone can be registered per account.)
How to download app
To use Smartphone Authentication (FIDO), download and use the SBI Shinsei Bank app. Please check whether your smartphone is compatible on the app download page.
